Is it better to work hard or have talent as a athlete? Well one of my favorite quotes says “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.” I have always been smaller than everyone so I always get pushed around by most people. Kevin Durant grew up in a single parent household, with his mother, and brother. He used his talent as a way to a better life for him and his family.
Talent is always good but when you try to use your talent without using much effort then you are going to give the hard workers an advantage over you to successfully get that W. No, professional athlete made it professional by just having talent. Michael jordan, Emmitt Smith, and Kobe Bryant worked hard to get win championships they didn’t just have talent they worked hard. Coaches have always said Muskogee has talented athlete they just didn’t have discipline so we haven’t had much luck in winning games over these past years, but when we started showing discipline in practice, that’s when we started seeing the results in games.
When I say hard workers I don’t mean people who don’t have talent because everyone have talent but people use them different. Hard workers analyze the errors in their opponent's and plays them wisely causing them to get ahead of their opponents. In football QB’s takes advantage of the defense when the CB gives cushion to a WR by calling an audible such as a slant or bubble route getting quick yards by analyzing the mistakes the CB is making.
Rocky Balboa said “Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up”. Kevin Durant, Lebron James, Michael Vick, and Dez Bryant came from poor families and worked hard at the contender stage to become a champion. Working hard is when you are down 7 point in the fourth quarter with 58 seconds left and go make a play to get the game winning touchdown. Working hard is being in the fourth quarter 15 seconds and you're down by 2 points
