My Taiwan Trip Estimate

My Taiwan trip is either on March 2016 or May 2016.

However, high chance is that the trip would be in the month of May 2016.

1) For a two-way ticket, each person is $523.30, so round up to $600 (in case got extra charges)

2) Twin-room split half is around $340 so round up to $400

3) For travel fares and accommodation I need at least $1000

I'm going to save $40 every week, I will use $40 every week only. If mom could give me more, I could save more.

I've calculated. From this week's savings ($40 per week) onwards, by the end of first week of May, I would have saved $1160.

Other than the $40 I saved, I have external savings at home as well. Also, after my FYP, I would have to go through 12 weeks (3 months: 30 Nov - 19 Feb) of intern as well. The pay every month would be at least $400.

Bank savings after Week 1 of May: $1160

Savings at home as of now: $362

Estimated Intern salary of 3 months: $1200

Total: $2722

This amount is not fixed as I will also have more home savings and my intern salary might be higher or lower. There can also be cases whereby there may be some weeks I am unable to save $40 per week. The total will definitely fluctuate. Of course, hopefully it will be more than I expected.

And as discussed with Mom, I will apply to NTU at the start of February and let's hope for the best.

My graduation day would be someday in May 2016. We might go Taiwan before or after the day, see how.
