Personal Motivation for Successful Education

As a little girl, I was constantly changing the idea of what I wanted to be when I grow up. My ideas varied from wanting law enforcement officer to a hospice worker. I have never truly known exactly what I have wanted to do for my career, but one thing I know is that I have a passion for helping others. I have chosen the major of Social Work because it has a huge variety of fields to use my talents and knowledge to make a difference. I value human life and believe that people deserve to live in a healthy society and deserve to know the told they may need to improve their life. I also have a heart for the less fortunate due to the fact that I have lived a life without having to withgo challenges involving poverty. I believe that if someone needs to be shown compassion then it is my responsibility to show them that compassion. I am the type of person whose heart is burdened when I see others in pain, I want to be able to empower them and to make them feel cared about.
Personal Motivation for Successful Education
The most important aspect to my success in college is maintaining my organization, staying true to my morals, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Throughout my life I have always struggled with my balancing my academics and keeping my mind controlled. Having been diagnosed with ADD, I struggle tremendously with keeping my mind focused which results in unfortunate disorganization. This semester I have made a promise with myself to slow down and give effort to stay collected and organized. I know that if I keep my promise that my academics will improve and my stress level with decrease. Another motivation I have is to stay true to my morals. The society we live in promotes the idolization of worldly pleasure whether it be, sex, drugs, drinking, or selfishness.
