Procrastination, have you ever find yourself having to do something, whether it be going back to school or going to brush your teeth and you keep putting it off and delaying it, saying to yourself that you will have time to do it, well this is procrastination. Everyone has procrastinated sometime in their life. Procrastination is a universal everyday phenomenon. There are a great many causes to the addiction to this thing called procrastination. Procrastination means the putting off and delaying of a task that needs to be completed. It can also be not managing time wisely. You may be uncertain of your priorities, goals and objectives. You may also be overwhelmed with the task. As a result, you keep putting off your academic assignments for a later date, worrying about your upcoming examination, class project and papers rather than completing them. Procrastination is a big problem for many, and one that can harm your career. Whether your procrastination causes you to arrive late at work or late for meetings, or keeps you from turning projects in on time, employers do not look positively upon it.
If a project is absolutely overwhelming, break it down into smaller steps. Do one or two each day. If you know you can handle the project but just don't know where to start, start anywhere. Just do something. Write a title on a piece of paper. Then write something else. Eventually you'll be led to where you need to go. A final, common reason for procrastination is perfectionism. . It will mostly start off as not doing small homework assignments or even just simple house-hold chores that you try to put off as long as possible just to be able to play more. Or when you are even doing homework, such as an essay, you can find yourself having a multitude of characteristics of it. Some may be just seem like difficulty concentrating. You may think that you are just having a small writers block, but you could actually possibly be subconsciously procrastinating because
