Introduction

As a security manager of companies we are task with a very tough decision of making recommendations for security of company to protect the safety of the employees, clients, and visitors.

Now as a security manager I have the tough job of recommending security for a medium-sized company that is an automobile manufacturing company of high tech components on the international level.

The proprietary security and the contract security are both responsible for protecting the companies, business, and ensuring the safety of their employees, consumers, clients, and visitors. Also they both wear uniforms to clearly identify them as security officers.

Proprietary

The proprietary security officer is what we call an in-house security officer, which means they are hire directly by the company they work for. There work schedules; policy, procedures, pay and benefits are control by the owner of the company.

Contract Security

They are hired through a security company that is hire by a client. Contract security officer work schedule, policy, procedures are written by the company. The training. The cost of using a contract officer would a lot less. There is not a lot of overhead. The contract security officer does not belong to a union.

Issues

Proprietary Security Officer.

The pay would be one issue.

The training would be another one.

The attitude of the officers would they be laid back in other words getting to comfortable with the surroundings and employees.

High turnover rate.

More training
