Introduction
William Procter and James Gamble created the famous organization Procter & Gamble in 1837. (Ohio History Central, 2005) These two gentlemen derived from Ireland and England, and chose to stay in Cincinnati, combine their money and form the business. Who knew that it would be the start of something very successful.
Procter & Gamble has a demographic that is centered on diversity which covers age, sex, race, cultural heritage, sexual orientation and personal background. (Ohio History Central, 2005) This organization has a firm trust in significance of supporting and emerging a mixed workplace. Considering this, Procter & Gamble market both internationally and domestically. Their products are popular since they exist in one hundred and eighty countries and operate in more than eighty countries. (Ohio History Central, 2005)
According to Black Enterprise in 2010, Procter & Gamble was recognized as the top ten places to work for. To make certain that the organization is working on diversity; they are given stock options, which is the main motive as to how to reward employees.
The strength of this organization has been due to its pioneering ideas and a good seven thousand minority employees. An innovative organization can go a long way, and when a diverse background is included, it can lead to even more brilliant ideas to arise. Excellent recruitment, management being active, diversity and interacting with the community made the organization is worth $11.7 billion. Hiring employees from different backgrounds allows enhancing its products. The main reason for its success has been due to its diverse workforce. (Richardson, 2006)
Proctor & Gamble is a leader in its industry and it's due to creating products that are vital for everyday living situations. They focus on the needs and wants of its customers. Selling services and products that aids in ones needs one can never go wrong in investing. Proctor & Gamble also channel their means and abilities in different types of enterprise, such as the entertainment industry, they are known for being influential in advertising. They have won admittance to interest groups of the performing industry by creating software (IMDbPro), it's an online Movie Data Base.
