Student Success Guide for my VCO Students

OFFICE HOURS I make myself available to the class everyday.
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. are my Virtual office hours.
If you need to contact me and my office hours are
not suitable, let me know and we can make other
arrangements.
CANVAS CANVAS is the new VCO class learning platform.
This system may be new to you and you will likely
need some time to understand how it works. As
you use CANVAS you will soon see how user friendly it is and find it beneficial and easy. If you
have any issues at anytime, be sure to let me know
and I will help you.
ATTENDANCE To be in attendance each student must log in to
POLICY class every week. If you are having issues that are
impacting your ability to properly log in each
week, be sure to contact me directly.
WEEKLY Students are expected to submit their assignments
ASSIGNMENTS by each week’s due date. These assignments
should be submitted as required in CANVAS. This includes initial weekly discussion question posts by Wednesday. In addition to answering these questions, students must reply to at least two fellow students answers each week. Written assignments are due by Sunday of each week.
WRITTEN Student written assignments must be submitted in
ASSIGNMENTS APA format, but discussion questions do not.
ALL ASSIGNMENTS Complete assignments early and/or on time!
CLASS WEEK Each week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.
CLASSROOM Students should feel free to contact me at any time
COMMUNICATION for any reason. It is important for me that the
faculty/student communication is clear and open.
