The Day I Got My First Mobile Phone

I still remember, it was my 4 June,2011,my birthday, when I got my first mobile phone. It was my greatest and the best birthday gift ever. After completing my SSC exam, I asked my parents to buy me a mobile phone. They promised me before my SSC exam that if I get A+ in my SSC exam they will present me a mobile phone. I was pestering them to buy me a mobile phone right after my exam because I was confident that I would get an A+. But they were saying no as usual. The day of my result came. I got A+ in all subject as I expected. To be honest, I was a little scared though before the result. So after hearing my result I came back to home from my school with a happy heart. Then I asked my parents to fulfill their promise. My father told me that he was having some financial problem and can’t buy me the mobile phone I wanted. I remember the phone I wanted to buy was a brand new touch-phone of Nokia. It was very costly indeed. He told me that I can buy a less costly phone if I want to. I was disappointed but I didn’t say anything to them. I told them that I don’t need to buy a mobile phone now. 3 months later, at the day of my birthday, I got very sick. I was having a really bad day. My father came home early with my birthday cake. I really wasn’t interested in cutting the cake. Then my father asked me ‘Are you interested to see your birthday gift instead?’. Out of curiosity, I opened the gift my father brought. It was the same mobile I wanted. I hugged my father and thanked him for this wonderful surprise. I was really touched. Although I was sick, it was the best birthday of my 19 years old life.
