Being able to identify any potential threats prior to establishing a business is paramount in the building process. Threats can sometimes be unpredictable and come at the most strenuous times. People that have a good vision of the future and the goals that they want to obtain will be better off if they are able to identify these threats early in the process.
o What type of security will be needed due to staying open 24/7
o What type of services are the competitors offering
o How much will the current state of the economy impact the business
o What additional laws and permits will be required in order to stay open 24/7
Trends
Being able to identify trends within your industry is an essential step that is needed to be able to stay competitive. Trends can come from many different sources. Staying current within the industry will allow a company to capitalize on any new trends.
o Identify new types of beverages in the coffee and cappuccino market
o Ensuring all computers have the latest and trendiest software products
o The atmosphere of the business is not out dated and is current with the new design trends
During the initial process of our marketing plan, we have identified both strengths and weaknesses with the re-vamp of Starbucks. We have created a clear and concise plan of what we want to accomplish, while identifying potential threats and hazards.
