WeekIII O*NET Assignment
1a. Training & Development Specialist & Credit Counselor
b. I would agree with this assessment only because I have done these two jobs on my personal time, with co-workers and friends. During my vast 20 year career span, I have held positions in the fields of financial services, social services, law enforcement, investigations, auditing and office management. I have helped co-workers redo their resumes and also assess what they might want to do with their careers. I have also assisted friends with some financial advice in the area of mortgages, banking, and securities.
c. Training & Development Specialist: Maryland, District of Columbia & Virginia
Credit Counselor: Pennsylvania, Florida & Texas
d. Training & Development Specialist: $57,340 (This salary is particularly low for the DMV area. Within the federal government, for example, a trainer would start at least $70,000)
Credit Counselor: $42,110 (I believe that this salary would be suitable with the non-profit sector)

3. In completing this job analysis, I learned about different careers that have combined my transferable skills and opened my mind to the options available to me that I hadn’t considered in the past. Now that I have been forced into disability retirement at age 40, I know that I won’t be retired for the rest of my life. This career analysis helped me to see what else I am capable of doing as a career and what career options best suit my personality and skillset.
4. I would DEFINITELY utilize this website for both myself as well as the employees within my organization. It is a great tool if one has no clue what they want to do as a career choice. I can honestly say that it has helped me understand how my transferable skills translate to different career besides law enforcement and other legal professions.
