Myanmar and Thailand are both located in Southeast Asia. Thailand is the only country in Southeast Asia that has never been occupied by European powers, as Myanmar did. In both countries, the military is involved in politics. After overthrowing democratically elected government in recent years, Thailand has seized some since the 1930s. Historically, Thai couples and Burmese couples were different, with Thai troops always giving power, while Burma’s coup was a 1962 tyranny.
