Why do I want to be a race official?
The main reason would definitely be because I’m a huge fan of F1.
I first noticed Formula 1 during Singapore's first night race, which was in 2008. At that time, I was only 17. But even at that young age, I felt the adrenaline rush when the cars zoomed past, the competitiveness all drivers had when they were on track and the ever-changing races with the different weather and track conditions. Now, at 21, I better understand Formula 1, such as the different race tracks all over the world, race rules and regulations and of course, all the drivers (engineers and team managers, even) from the different teams.
The beauty of F1 has always been fascinating as well as attractive to me. I am always in front of the television or computer during the 3 days of F1. Sometimes, my friends would wonder what is the point of watching the practice sessions, but to me, every session of F1 is important and I would be able to grasp or try to guess the different’s team strategy and also have a glimpse of how the team or driver would perform in that track. Honestly, I don’t have too many friends that love F1 so I hope that during this F1 track experience, I would be able to know more like-minded friends that could discuss F1 with me freely.
I love F1 and especially the Red Bull Racing Team and I would love to see them in action in the pits. They have always shown such high spirit and great teamwork for their drivers and whole team as a whole. Sebastian Vettel, of course, is also my most favourite driver. I wish to be able to see him first-hand and make the fan-girl side of myself very happy.
It is my ultimate wish to travel to every track in the F1 calendar and experience the different race tracks and people there. Through television, we could always sense the atmosphere and enthusiasm there but I hope that I’ll
