Black History Month

The movie Tuskegee Airman illustrates the struggles that African-American pilots endured in the defense of their country during World War II. This movie fits in with Black History Month which takes place in February. It is an important movie because it's based on a true story and made history. The writers interpret the true story and made it into a movie which gave us an example of why we have and need Black History Month. So now after watching the movie, it shows how much African-Americans were part of history and how they were all equal to white people/every race.

The movie Tuskegee Airman has a very important theme. The underlying theme to the movie is about African-Americans having a chance to join white people to fly airplanes during World War II. For example, the main character of the movie Hannibal Lee was traveling to Tuskegee, Alabama to join people from different races to fly airplanes. Then at the end of the movie the whites accepted him and requested the Tuskegee Airmen to escort the white pilots for a raid on Berlin. Other than that, the movie had a special message that the writers were trying to show. The message the writers were trying to show was how black people are as important as white people and can do the same thing as they can. Which now in present time is defiantly seen in every race.

Many of the difficulties that the characters faced in the Tuskegee Airman could happen in present time America. In present time today it is very rare to find people that are racist but every person is different so you can't answer for all. If someone of today enters the air force they may encounter a racist person that will be mean and tougher to them than to others or of their own kind. For example, when the blacks saw the chalkboard and it read that there is a briefing at 0600 and the next morning the white people had changed the briefing to 0530 without telling them. That is racism in a way because the white people
