During our General Psychology class, we were asked to watch a movie entitled "Life as We Know It". The film started with the scene where Eric and Holly were about to go on a date but it was not successful. It was a set up by their best friends, Peter and Allison, who were married. Several months later, Peter and Allison had their baby but in just a short time, they were killed in an accident. Holly and Eric was informed that they were named as the guardians of the orphaned kid, Sophie. This is where the story really starts. They were left with the choice to live in one house and take care of Sophie in order to fulfill their best friends' wishes. The two thought that it would be easy, but they were completely wrong. There were always conflicts between them at first but it slowly diminished as time goes by.

The movie showed how Holly and Eric dealt with their problem about the baby. They clearly hate each other which made things really hard for them. The problem doesn't end there. They were both single that is why they don't know how to deal with babies. Instead of giving up, they took advices from their neighbors, they made a schedule and they took turns on taking care of the baby. Just when things were going great, there came conflicts with their jobs. Eric is a director of games (specifically basketball). There was a time when he had to bring the baby to his workplace because Holly had an appointment that time. He can't leave the baby at home. On the other hand, Holly has her own bakery which was currently being expanded. She had to stop the renovation in order to pay their expenses at home. Eric offered to invest his savings to Holly's bakery so that she can continue with the renovation. Holly didn't accept it at first because she would not want to get help to get help from someone like him. That was the part when Eric said something to Holly.
