Starting from 1962, they began their journey of rock and roll music. Throughout the next half-century, they kept making miracles and became the one of the most popular and the richest bands. Until the pervious years, they have a tour around the world. Over 4,500,000 tickets sold, for 147 concerns. They are the living legend ------ The Rolling Stones!!

The Rolling Stone is a world famous British rock band. The band is found in London in April 1962 and they are still rocking the world nowadays. The current members of The Rolling Stone are Mick Jagger (the lead vocal), Keith Richards (rhythm guitarist), Ronnie Wood (Guitarist), Charlie Watts (drummer) and Darryl Jones (bassist).

How did the band start? In the early 1950, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger were childhood friends and classmates at Wentworth Primary School until their families moved apart. In 1960s, they met each other again met at Dartford train station on their way to collage. They both realized they share the same taste in music. This led to the re-establishment of their friendship and the forming of the band with other two members. The band name “The Rolling Stones” is actually come from one of the song of Muddy Watera, a blues singer who both Keith and Mick admired.

There are two major forces contributed to the great success of the Rolling Stones. The first one is the stepping in of the band's manager and producer, Andrew Oldham. He is credited for giving the band a bad boy image as a complete reversal of the good boy image, such as the Beatle. The Rolling Stones’ music is also considered to be rebellious, wild and rude instead of gentle and sweet.

Another thing that makes the band success is the Mick Jagger and Keith Richards’ songwriting collaboration. Throughout the continuing life of The Rolling Stones, there have been some changes to the band’s member line-up, but Keith Richards and Mick Jagger have always been the heart and soul of the band.
