The Human's Life Is Full of Diverse Results

The human’s life is full of choices and different choices lead to diverse results. No one knows the backsides of these choices. Future is mysterious and everyone will influence by what they chose in the past. Leaving a familiar environment and moving to a totally different new place are definitely the common ways to change one’s identity and mind. Perhaps the front is covered with thistles and thorns, but after that, we will see the roses are coming into bloom ahead.
More than four years passed in a flash, I have been never forgotten how I changed after I came to the United States when I was sixteen. Unlike most people’s educational backgrounds, I had two years high school life in China and two years in Indiana, USA. My high school in China called Beijing No.2 Middle School, with a very long history and founded in 1724, which also is one of the top key high schools all around China. As you can imagine, this kind of school provides unbelievable sources to students, for example, the connections (visit tours, meetings, etc.) with Fortune Global 500 corporations, the opportunities of joining international competitions, even the potential relationships with successful leaders (there are many successful people who graduated from this school), and so on. There was no doubt that when I did the college applications, this two-year-life was 70% of my total outside-school experiences.
After two years in Beijing No.2 Middle School, I had an opportunity to go to the United States to continue my high school education. Although there were so many fascinating points in my China’s high school, I wanted to make a change and like to challenge myself. The most stressful thing was not facing known difficulties, it would be the unknown future. No one would know what happened in a unfamiliar environment, perhaps I would lose and stay at the mire, or I would win and open another different successful window.
When I got the first glimpse to my new school, which called Harmony School, I was definitely nervous, a kind of disappointed, and also a little bit exciting. Unlike Beijing No.2 Middle School, Harmony was a small, sweet, and unique “home”, which only could exist in the United States. There were no huge buildings, luxurious fitments, etc; but there were no distance between students and teachers, older students and younger students, etc. The first a couple of months in Harmony gave me a soft landing about my nervous.
