In the business world there comes a time when there is a need to settle on certain decisions regarding the firm. These decisions are reliably business oriented and are made for the benefit of the corporation. The pioneers, however, fail to comprehend the effect these decisions have on the ethics and morals of the business. There is need for the organizations to use ethical and social commitments with the deciding objective they ought to be recognized in their localities (Thomas, 2015).
Devin M is involved in the manufacturing of designer clothes in Northern Carolina, the United States, and intends to set up another offering point for the African setting. The company thus decided to import the African cultural clothing. This is with a view to serving as a center for the exposition of the African culture. The decision was aimed at attracting another business part that will be used to improve sales. This decision, however, will have an impact on people living in the neighborhood.
The presentation of the African clothing amounts to importing of the African culture in the United States. This is another general public that may influence on the next social behavior. The new dressing code might influence the way of life of Americans . The ethical repercussions of such a decision then could change the dressing code of the American customers served by Devin M, in effect resulting in a mixed social dressing (Lyer, 2015).
In case the event that more people get to learn of these new styles, there will be conformity in the area codes and ethics. The youths in particular will be most affected based on the assumption that they are more inclined to embrace the new mode of dressing more than the rest of the population. With time, there will be a mix in the mode of dressing of the American customers served by Devin M as they seek to experiment and embrace the new African theme in terms of dressing. The management of Devin M will also be affected by these ethical repercussions. For instance, there is the possibility that the existing customers might fail to recognize the new African designs, and this will definitely have a negative effect on the company's sales and by extension, its ability to generate additional revenue. For this reasons, it is important that the company's management first coordinate a watchful strategy of studying the market and its high capital spending arrangement before the decision is made. There is also a need to gather market intelligence from the American consumers of Devin M's products in an attempt to get their viewpoints regarding the new product.
