My Education Philosophy

I see teaching as a great service to humanity, to community, and to individuals. Teaching reminds me of the story: “The Little Engine Who Could.” In pursuing to teach the best discipline I can, I will incorporate technology, and model my commitment to, and engagement with learning. Utilizing Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy of; Doing, Connecting, Applying, Conceptualizing, Evaluating, Creating, and Sharing through course subjects aided with technology.

In my teaching; I will pursue the widest mixture of pedagogical approaches and methods in order to teach to all students and cultural diversities. I aspire to teach to the whole person, all behavioral dimensions with cognitive and affective concepts. My goal is for my students to discover they are empowered by education, learning, and the development of themselves as future adult citizens. We will accomplish this journey with a technological and pedagogical commitment.

I see teaching as a reciprocal process involving my students and myself.

My responsibilities will be:

· A conducive learning environment

· Knowledge of discipline

· Materials, opportunities, and helpful feedback

· Becoming and remaining motivated to be successful

My student’s responsibilities will be:

· Acceptance of differing viewpoints other than yours

· Be prepared for class

· Work hard to complete course activities

· The subject you are in provides life skills outside the classroom
