Abstract
From the ethics exercises, I have learned that I am rational, responsible, I can be bossy, I have a tendency to not follow the rules, I can become judgmental due to my expectations, and I can overexert myself. I think the areas I am most vulnerable in is being bossy, believing that the ends justify the motives, excusing myself from following the rules, and becoming exhausted.
My Preferred Ethical Lens
Rights and Responsibility Lens is my preferred lens. I use my rationality skills to define your duties and the general rules that each person should follow. I agree with this statement because it relates to my professional mindset. When I am assigned to a task, I prefer to use common knowledge to decipher what needs to be done.
Your Blind Spot
The results revealed that my blind spot is that I believe that the ends justify the motives, I can tend to get lost in what my viewpoint of the best end result should be. Sometimes the ends don't justify the motives if people are affected, or negative things arise out of the situation. I can end up causing dissension within the work unit by my actions whether they prove correct or not.
Your strengths and weaknesses
My strengths are I display a sense of responsibility, critical thinking is my preferred choice for problem solving, follow through with accomplishing my responsibilities.
