The topic I chose is intrinsic motivation and its effect on behavior. I chose this topic because I am a teacher and I see the need for extrinsic motivation in the classroom. I think this is an important topic because there seems to be a lot of behavior issues in the classrooms I have been in and I feel the need to see if this study will work.

The topic I will be reviewing is the effects of intrinsic motivation on classroom behavior. Does it work? I found six articles dealing with this topic, most of which had information that could be pulled from them. Some concentrated on its effects on intrinsic motivation and others studied the effects on elementary school aged children versus college aged students.

My articles are as follows:

5. Extrinsic Motivation in the classroom by Akin-Little, K. Angelique; Eckert, Tanya L; Lovett, Benjamin J; Little, Steven G.

6. A Study of University Students’ motivation and Its Relationship with Their Academic Performance.
