Every time you meet someone, you get an impression of what that person is like and most often it is either good or bad. These first impressions are very important, some of them will be the only impression you ever get of them and you will forever remember them for the impression you got of them. There were two people who I initially met and got a pretty bad impression of them the first time, but eventually after some time my impression of them began to change.
The first person I’m going to talk about is my best friend, Austin. We first met in 5th grade and we lived in the same neighborhood. The first encounter I had with him was when we were playing basketball in my neighborhood with other kids. After a few games, he went back to his house and got some snacks. He brought out some bags of chips and I a bag thinking he got it for us and was being genuinely nice. It turned out not to be for us and he got mad at me for taking his food and we had an argument about a bag of chips. Following that encounter I wasn’t really fond of him and I thought he was kind of a mean guy and we didn’t have any encounters for a couple weeks. He was argumentative, loud, and had an attitude. Fall came around and it was time for fall football league and we just happened to be put on the same football team. Due to us being place on the same football team we eventually started to talk and engage in conversations again and we became friends. Eventually, we brought up the incident and talked about it. We both explained our views from the incident and laughed it off because looking back at it was a small deal. After forming my first impression, it wasn’t that hard to admit it changed, because after all we argued about a $1 bag of chips.
The second person is my ex-girlfriend, Shelby. We initially met my first day of high school in history class. It didn’t take long for me to form my impressions about her. Within a week I had my impressions that she was a selfish “princess-type”,
