The nation of America is considered many things America the beautiful, the land of the free and the home of the brave, the Nation of Christianity and a Godless land. There are so many beliefs, myths, and facts on the foundation of this great nation. A highly debated topic is the foundation of America. Many believe that America was founded on Christian belief while others believe that there is no religion in the government of the United States. Many of the documents created during the foundation of the United Stated government does in fact uses the terminology that that would imply that the government officials was religious. Some of these document include the Constitution of the United States of America, The Pledge of Allegiance, and The Declaration of Independence.

“When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Many of the document that were release to the public from the founding fathers, federal government officials and state government would imply that the United States was a Christian Nation and was founded on the beliefs of Christianity. At the Constitutional Convention Benjamin Franklin stated, "...God governs in the affairs of men.
