Bilogical Traits

Biological foundations of an individual plays a key role in determining the behavior that individual portrays. The biological foundations are contained in ones genes, and thus if a certain trait is contained in ones genes the trait usually exposes itself on the persons way of doing things. The genes are usually passed from one generation to another and thus if in one’s family a certain character exists there is usually a high probability of that character to be revolving within ones family linage (Williams, 2009), for instance in the video ‘Couples who Kill’ Bernardo’s father once fondled a lass and sexually abused his own daughter. According to the video when Paul Bernardo grows up he rapes and even kills several girls including Karla’s sister. This is a perfect example of how other bad traits may be related to biological basis of an individual. Therefore it is to a very great extent that apart from this trait of rapist other aberrant behaviorism portrayed by people usually have a biological basis.

The interaction between brain functions and abnormalities as well as social and family factors are responsible for any personality disorder a given individual may possess. In the movie the character of Bernardo has been determined by his family particularly his father as well as the people he interacts with. His wife enhances his character of raping and killing young girls by assisting him in his doings (Williams, 2009). This confirms that psychopathic behaviors are to a very great extent as a result of interaction between ones brain, his/her abnormalities as well as social and family factors.

In most instances within the movie, both Paul Bernardo and Karla commit crimes together. The wife joins hands with his husband in raping, killing and even taking some video tapes while mistreating young girls. For instance, they both molest Karla’s sister, therefore, both of them are equally guilty.
