Biological terrorism is sometimes necessary in the world we live in today because of our mass population, epidemics as devastating as Anthrax goes to show dangerous things can get. People today think that the world is a better place than it was 15 to 20 years ago. I on the other hand, believe that the world is become worse after every sunset. Even though the world's warfare supply consists mainly of nuclear and biological warfare, I believe that in a time soon to come these attacks will bring a war that will make them change their perspective on weapons of mass destruction forever. Most people come into contact with the Alpha Virus by getting bitten by a mosquito during the summer time. Without the proper repellants, it is almost inevitable not to catch some kind of Biological sickness. Anthrax, Botulism, Brucellosis, Clostridium Perfringens Toxins, Food- and Water Born Illness, Glanders, Plague, Q Fever, Smallpox, Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B, and Trichothecene Mycotoxin are the known Biological “attacks”. The results of these horrible epidemics are the reason why Biological Terrorism is one of the most feared kind out of acts in our everyday lives. I do believe that the US is at risk and that we are definitely not prepared to fight such a battle.
Since this horrible trend of actions has started, we the people have come up with some cures to help slow down the spread of these increasingly growing epidemics. Vaccination; they innovated a vaccine to prevent anthrax, but it is not yet available for the general public.
Anthrax is a deadly virus and can be used as a weapon in biological war. If its spores were distributed appropriately, a single gram would be sufficient to kill more than one-third of the population of the US. The recent outbreaks of anthrax infection and exposure, and the current lively discussion over wholesale smallpox vaccination, whether or not they are linked to the events of September 11, 2001 are both horrific
