Procedure:
In order to achieve the objective, the steps followed are stated below:
The first step was to develop an assembly language program of a digital clock for the 8085 microprocessor. It was done by developing a counter which consisted of three phases in the form of hh:mm:ss. This result was then displayed on an interfaced LCD.
In second step the OPCODE Table for the corresponding assembly language program was developed and the microprocessor board was prepared.
The LCD was interfaced with the 8255 on the microprocessor board by using the provided cable.
Then the after turning on the microprocessor board, the corresponding OPCODE for the assembly language program was keyed in to the microprocessor.
The program was executed and the results were observed on LCD display.
No problems were found and the results were satisfactory.
