Title: PC Products – Product Management Industry Intern
Role Summary/Purpose
Reporting to the Product Line Leader Power Electronics (PE), the Product Management Industry Intern, will lead the analysis of Power Conversion’s (RM & PE) products for designated business segments. S/he will develop detailed, holistic views on product competitiveness within the target regions and deliver actionable recommendations to platform and business leadership to drive global product decisions. |

Essential Responsibilities |
|
- Develop a comprehensive assessment of segment specific conditions and needs, including understanding in full detail customer economics, buying criteria, and product requirements
- Drive engagement with the commercial team and product managers, understand recent wins/losses, utilize real-time feedback to inform product decisions
- Lead region-specific product economic modelling and identify gaps in our product offering
- Understand industry landscape in target regions and impact of changes on product competitiveness.
- Uses industry expertise to engage in discussion with customers on current and future needs as well as customer experience. Feedback information into the organization and integrate in strategic debates.
- Supports commercial team with large strategic deals that require offerings and commitment beyond the regular offerings.
- Interface of the Product Management organization to the external world, Commercial and Marketing.
- Ensures alignment on product roadmaps for GE2GE business
- Lead business case development for new products and programs in collaboration with the product managers
- Quantify customer value proposition and pricing strategy for new products in the region
- Support development of global multi-generational product plan for all platforms
- Know the competition inside-out
- Understand and develop adjacencies.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree in engineering or business administration, or related field
- Strong understanding of customer economics in the Oil & Gas or Marine industry
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to distil large amounts of information and effectively communicate key messages
- Ability to translate complex quantitative analysis into concrete business actions
- Self-starter, highly motivated, innovative and creative thinker

- Experience of operating in a matrix environment with strong relationship-building capability, able to work effectively across functions.

- Previous experience in product management practices and activities within GE.
