TITLE
To investigate the rate of urine formation based on different types of solution.
AIM
To investigate the rate of urine formation based on different types of solution.
RESEARCH QUESTION
Do different types of solution affect the rate of urine production?
HYPOTHESIS
Different types of solution consumed will result in a different rate of urine production.
VARIABLES
Variables
Method to control
Independent variable Types of solution consumed By consuming different types of solution such as distilled water, 100 Plus, barley solution and sucrose solution.
Dependent variable Rate of urine production By calculating the rate of urine production by dividing the volume of urine produced by the duration of the experiment, which is 20 minutes.
Controlled variable Time interval for each experiment The time interval for the urine collection is controlled at a constant rate of 20, 40, 60 and 80 minutes.
MATERIALS & APPARATUS
Refer to the Biology Handbook sheets attached.
METHOD
