The first law of motion states that any object never changes its direction or speed unless a force which is unbalanced disturbs it (Kuehn, 2015). The first law of motion is also mentioned as the law of inertia. The direction isn’t changed or accelerated when balanced forces are acting on the object. An example can be that when a ball is kicked into space since there isn’t gravity it keeps going and stops only when it hits a meteorite.
The second law of motion states that acceleration is developed when the object is acted upon by an unbalanced force. When an equal mass is used to push a car and truck, the car has more acceleration than the truck as there is less mass in the car.
Newton’s third law of motion states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. For example, when air blows out from the balloon, the balloon flies up as the opposite reaction.

There is an interlink with all Newton’s the three laws of motion (Koch, 2015). The first law states that when seen in an inertial reference frame, an object moves in continued velocity or stays at rest unless it is affected by a net force. This leads to the second law of motion which states that in an inertial reference frame that the vector sum of forces F in any object is equivalent to the mass m of any object which is multiplied by vector a which is the acceleration of the object. F=ma. Hence after acceleration is produced it leads to the third law of motion which states that when anybody exerts a force on another body, then the other body exerts the same equal force which would be similar in magnitude and opposite in direction of the first body. Hence the three laws are associated with one another.

When a bowler hooks a ball it changes direction in mid-way, when the ball is rolled from the edge of the lane at some point it curves to the middle and knocks the pin-down. This can be explained by Newton’s first law of motion. It is said if a body is at rest it remains so and if it is in motion it moves with a uniform velocity until affected by an external force. This can be explained that a moving object would change its direction or speed when an unbalanced force is acting on it. When a ball is rolled on a flat surface it would slow down, stop due to friction which stops it. In that manner when a bowler hooks the ball by rolling it in-between the middle and edge of the lane he uses acceleration and also velocity by due to friction there is a change in eth balls direction.
