Essay

For my summative project, I will be presenting the Biome project which I completed in Ms. Terry's class. I chose this project because I think it is important to know what kind of surroundings different organisms live in. I found this project interesting because first I found out about ALL the biomes. Secondly I learned about what types of animals lived in the Biomes. Finally I figured out how the plants and animals survived and adapted. In this paper, I will discuss the learning of the project, why I enjoyed the project and what I would do differently next time, and finally how the content knowledge will to my future.

This project was designed to teach us about the ecosystems interactions. By doing a poster about the certain biome we chose and a 5 paragraph essay that gives information about the biome. I believe that my teachers wanted me to show how much I found out about the different ecosystems by doing this project. For this biome project I made a poster on everything that is associated with the Wet Lands. On the poster I presented how the organisms survived and made adaptations to the environment. I also wrote a 5 paragraph essay that explains what goes on in the Wet Lands biome.

I have successfully met these objectives. The evidence supports my learning because first I understand what goes on in the biome and how they work. Secondly, I know that organisms had to adapt to their environment to live. Finally, to keep the ecosystem at its best, the organisms must stay healthy and reproduce. All of these facts are what made me like the biome project so much.

During this project, I really enjoyed learning how things work in different ecosystems. I am a picture type of learner, so this project was perfect for me. If my teacher was to give this project again, I would suggest more examples of posters that had been completed from past years. If
