What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word “cannabis”? Drug? Illegal? If you thought of those words or anything related to those words I want to change your mind. You most likely thought this because your parents or your family raised you this way. I don't think cannabis should be illegal for many reasons. Their is a hidden truth about cannabis that the government and major corporations don't want you to know about.
Cannabis isn't just some drug that makes you feel good, actually believe it or not it can be used medically. War veterans are prescribed pills and a bunch of other harmful medicine for their PTSD but its not very effective. Hmm… I wonder what would be a healthy alternative, maybe cannabis! Marijuana, specifically the indica leaf, calms your mind, lowers anxiety and treats PTSD immediately.
Even though cannabis is used as medication it can be used for actual resources. Cannabis can do everything a tree can do except better. The fibers in the leaf are stronger and can be used as paper or even materials for clothes.
Trees are harder to grow and manage but cannabis can be produced pretty quickly. It takes almost an entire year for a mature oak tree to be grown while you can produce 7 cannabis plants in one year. This would only be if their was only one person planting 1 tree every year and one person planting 1 cannabis plant every 7 weeks. Depending on the quality of the cannabis the care needed will be harder or easier. They really only need a lot of light and fresh air.
Overall, cannabis has a pretty bad record but it actually has really good uses like curing diseases, disorders, a substitute for trees and easy to take care of but you already know all that stuff by now. The new generation of teens and children need to be educated on the many positive uses of cannabis. It could even be made a subject in school.
Hah, doubt it.
