Information technology (IT), promotes civil society, social capital and participatory democracy by increasing awareness and less ignorance through social media through open social media and liberal ideas. IT has made the spreading of news a lot faster and easier while encourages direct contribution in certain current issues discussed through social networks. The increment use of information technology has eventually increase the civic awareness in societies as such human rights for instance has turned up to be world concern. Through Internet speed mobilisation of news and current issues made social movements to be a lot easier because connections between different types of sources where discussions on common issues are made possible. The result of participating in online communities could be expected to reinforce like-minded beliefs, similar interests, and therefore ideological homogeneity among members (Norris,P, 2002). The universal civic awareness by all means, people from various countries who are driven by global conscience and want to contribute and be updated on the current matter uses the Internet as a base to get engaged. by the massive use of internet as an intermediate of discussion has automatically create a global civil society. Existence of global civil society forms applicable standards of democracy. Information technology has been proven as a factor that affect the growth of social capital. Social capital can be simplified as one's accumulation of social bonds that establish links to information resources which might or might not create market and non market advantages. In today's era of globalised world, empowerment or what constitute a community is based on how a community encounter challenges along the way. For the past decades, it can be said Gemeinschaft theory of community have been used by most civil societies. On contrary, in present Gesselschaft concept of society begin to emanate in our economical, social and political issues whereby self interest became significant instead of common beliefs.
