Is leadership essential to the development of ethical decision making in modern organization?
Introduction
In a work environment, all the workers are divided into several groups on several levels based on their task. There are Board of Directors, that are usually in charge for the company’s policy, as well as making effective decisions. CEO, which manages the overall operations of the company itself. And those two are the leaders of the overall operation that is being held by the company, making sure that’s everything is going right, with the help from the employee from lower level. And based on my research that I’ve done on how leaders affect their followers in some way. I believe that leaders have effect how their followers behave and make ethical decision, because, without a good leader, a goal of a team will not be achieved. Some people believe what I believe, that leaders are like the pacesetter for their follower’s path, because, their followers don’t have much experience just like their leaders do. And most of the ethical decisions that the leaders make, became the base of the followers next step in a way to go further. So, the decisions that is made by leaders are accountable by them, because they decisions affect their work environment. But, not all the people agreed on what I believe about leadership. Some people say that what affect the followers to be good in making ethical decisions, is their own self, and their perspective, because we are the one who control our behavior.

Employees can make an ethical decision making in an organization, but, it is after an organization construct an ethical culture in the organization. That’s why it is said that leaders who applies the moral culture of the association and genuinely actualize them will be able to anticipate the result of his/her choice with an end goal to keep the outcomes that emerge later on. This is the place the significance of organizational leaders in imparting moral qualities to be trailed by all individuals from the association with the goal that choices will have a tendency to be moral agent. (Anggraini et al. 2014).
In one thesis that I managed to collect, the researchers found that leadership is not only positively affect the development of ethical decision making, it positively affect other things too. It is stated that finding reveals that when authentic leadership is contributing in the working environment, it makes a superior supportive work atmosphere. This work atmosphere is described as a place where ethical considerations are conducted into work environment procedures and in making ethical decisions, and this, thus, bring confidence and practices that boost straightforwardness, ability to respect, trust and good ethical norms. Further, the proposal observed that when genuine administration was conducted inside such a moral environment, it brought the workers higher amounts of participation, cooperation and additional part practices among representatives, which adds to the association turning out to be more powerful (Nikolic 2015) It helps the organization not only to be ethical in making decisions, but to be more productive in the work. Additionally, the best thing about a leader for the subordinate is, a leader have an exceptional chance to shape a work environment to be ethical since they have power to control. In that capacity, it is essential to see how they can all the more adequately using control available to them. (Randal 2012).
