Philippines is known for having the most kind and friendliest people in Asia who are extremely welcoming and curious but still respectful. Though Filipinos are recognized as always happy and forever smiling individuals, they also tend have this negative mentality where they start something eagerly but in the end doesn’t have the motivation to finish it called”nignas-kugon”. Filipinos who have high positions in the government are no exception. Senators or simply even city mayors frequently make promises about new projects and how they’d always help the people before elections but then by the time they won, will sooner or later forget all about it.
A lot of people say that the reason Filipinos forget about important things and the promises they made quickly is because they are too busy with their own individual lives. It doesn’t help that the government is corrupted already therefore stealing the money that was supposed to be used for more important matters and keeping it for their own selfish reasons therefore making the country more poor than it is already.
Also due to the Filipinos mentality of nignas-kugon, their social system is just developing gradually or inch by inch. We all know that Filipinos are sweet, charming, helpful and all that to others but they also live by this so called “Filipino time” where things only get done whenever they get done. This is why whenever someone is hosting an event, instead of putting 7pm on an invitation,
