Today my topic is “stop ignoring the sufferings around us and the world needs our concern”. How about playing a game firstly? Say you are alone in a very dangerous forest, and you have 5 kinds of animals as your companion. They are monkey, elephant, dog, lion and peacock. You have to abandon them one by one for some reasons. In this game each animal represents something important in your life. So what will you abandon firstly?

Actually peacock represents your lover in this test. Almost everyone will abandon peacock firstly because they think peacock is useless and weak and it can’t help to protect them from the danger outside. But someone chooses to keep the peacock until he has to leave it. As to the reason, he says, it’s just because the peacock is weak so I can’t leave it in such a dangerous forest. I have to protect it until the last minute.

I used to consider that helping others is such an old and universal topic that everyone will follow it somehow. But it’s not. The more prosperous the society is, the colder we get. It’s a sad fact that our own safety and interests always come first in our head when we are faced with danger and challenges in our lives. But there does exist some people in this world who can put others needs first, which means we are not born like this. And here I want to share a little story with you .When my cousin was 9 years old, our family went to shanghai to see the expo .And on the way my cousin collected almost 60 coins. You know, little boys like such metallic things. He put them in his own bag and carried the coins everywhere as nobody want to help to carry them. One day when we were waiting for the taxi, a little girl came to us begging for money. All the adults just pretended not seeing her. However, my cousin, a 9-year-old boy, put all the 60 coins which he had collected for days into the girl’s bowl. And I was totally moved then.
