In my opinion, I feel that a teacher must have higher emotional intelligence and higher moral values than others no matter in what situation. Violence cannot solve problems, it will only make the problems become worse. Besides that, authorises have responsible to solve these problem. It is very important to choose professional teachers but firstly they must pay more attention on selection and teachers’ training.
I feel that some teachers today are showing some sign of abusive behaviour such as slapping, unreasonable treatment, racist and other violence actions. They never did think it through before committing any of these violence actions. Some of the teachers abused their responsibility, they thought that they have the right to punish students with unreasonable punishment and do whatever they wanted reduce their anger to students. They felt that they have no responsibility to take care of students because they are just government servants. Previously in everyone’s impression, teachers have higher moral values and high responsibility to educate students. Back then, the society respected teachers and took them as a good example. But since there were many cases about teachers using violence against students, these happened to have caused the public to lose confidence on teachers.
Next, authorities are responsible to prevent these teachers’ violence actions. If they are unable to solve problem, it will make the problem to get worse. However, the authorities had given a deaf ear on these problems. Besides, there are many problems in selection and training teachers. Till today, Ministry of education was frivolous on attacking the standard of selection and training of teachers. They were using the standard of “Everyone could be a teacher after going through training.” But in contrast, it is much better to apply stern selection and strict training like the olden days.
