Course Communication Policy

There are several ways to contact me with questions/issues/concerns about the course.

In Person:  I will be only be on campus during our face-to-face sessions. I will be available for about 15 minutes before and after class. If possible, I would appreciate your sending me an email letting me know you want to meet with me.

Blackboard: If you have a question or issue that all students in this course could benefit from, please contact me in the “Ask Me” area on the Blackboard Menu.  I will review that area and respond to questions or issues daily.

E-mail: You also may contact me by email at Michael.lukens@fresnocitycollege.edu. In the subject line, please identify yourself by your name on WebAdvisor and as a student in Political Science 2 Online.  I will respond to you within 48 hours.  This is the best way to get a fast response.  If you do not hear back from me within 48 hours, assume I did not receive your email and resend it.

Phone: If you have an urgent issue, you also may contact me by TEXTING my cell phone at (559) 460-7469.   Please be sure to identify yourself in the text by your name on WebAdvisor and as a student in Political Science 2 Online. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!  I want to emphasize that texting should be reserved for issues that are urgent and require a response within 24 hours as I will respond within that time frame.  (For example, you may text if you have an emergency that will require you to miss one of our in-class sessions.) I likely will not answer phone calls to this number since I won’t recognize your number.  Any calls to my phone will definitely result in a grumpy professor!
