Discussion Summary
In this discussion summary we will go over “Should pit bulls be banned as pets?”
I would like to start off by saying that I have three dogs of my own and I have no intension on leaving them or putting them down. Now that we got that out of the way, Should pit bulls be banned as pets? Now we did look at a couple of website to determine what the answer should be. Those websites are www. Dogbites.org and, Fatalpitbullattacks.com. Now I know just by reading the names of these sites you might think that having a pit bull is a bad thing. That is not the case. After further studies into these sites and a few other sites on my own, I have discovered that all dogs, no matter the bread have been known to attack without notice or even with notice. The part the websites don’t tell you is if the dog was protecting someone or something. If you were trying to protect your child, wouldn’t you get mad and maybe attack someone who was trying to hurt your child. I know I would.
Although many dog attacks happen every year, that fact still remains that the dogs or in this case pit bulls attack. Now with that being said, let’s give the pit bull a chance to tell their said of the stores. I have found that in many cases of pit bull attacks that many the dogs were trying to protect someone or something. Especially kids, but have also been known to protect other animals like cats. Yes I said that right, Dogs and cats have had a love hate relationship for many years, but dogs can still protect them and in some cases cats can protect a dog.
