Air pollution | The EU set a legislation about improving the air quality. The name of the legislation is Ambient Air Quality Directive 2008. https://uk-air.defra.gov.uk/air-pollution/uk-eu-policy-context England made a legislation also it is called Air Quality Standards Regulations 2010. https://uk-air.defra.gov.uk/air-pollution/uk-eu-policy-context | The EU legislation helps by setting legally binding limits for everyone. It stops big companies from putting chemicals in our air which could cause serious health issues like asthma or cancer. The legislation in England makes sure major toxic heavy metals and “polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons” are not emitted into the air. This helps again to prevent serious skin and breathing issues that may cause cancer. |

Also the water pollution can cause serious issues like cancer and even death. The Environmental Protection Act helps stop the environment being polluted by waste. It stops the being waste put in the fresh water and again on land fields this again helps to cut down on serious health issues and also helps keep the environment clean. |

The Noise Act 1996 helps the same way however it says that any nuisances noise between 23:00-07:00. If not obeyed by there is a maximum of £1000 penalty. This helps to maker individuals understand that noise pollution is serious as it can affect someone’s health |
