Information Reports

Reports are written documents for clear purposes. In information reporting, mostly analysis and data visualizations are used. The information is presented in a clearly structured format so that information is easy to locate and fallow. Information reports can include different perspective of business such as sales, finance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and purchasing. By using information reports companies are able to make better decisions and improve their business.

Information Reporting includes two main steps; data collection and data reporting. The aim of data collection is about providing information, forms, instruction and other helpful tools to business and assist them to gather the data for each service they provide. Data reporting is about presenting reports and other information, which were provided by data collection. To give example for information reporting a service company is used. A company provides different kind of services to its clients. To improve their business quality the most important thing for them is to be aware of what their clients’ needs. For the answer of this they would need specialists in different departments who would be responsible for data collections and data reporting. Let’s say for sales department first thing is, collecting data and for this they can compare their prices with other business competitors or make compression with their annually price rates. Making these compressions are really efficient to see how the performance of the company. After sales department made their compressions they should be able to show these information to the mangers and other colleagues for decision making. Best way to present reports to others is data visualization which is, using different kind of charts or graphs. Afterwards it is time to make decision about sales.
