The following are the main areas where the multinational company AT &T has decided to have its performance checked. They are the six pillars by which it encompasses the holistic conduct of business. Some of these areas are involved in corporate social responsibility while other areas focus on improving internal business functions.
1. Philanthropy/ community giving. As AT&T we have found it of utmost importance to continuously contribute to the community that has always been kind and given so much to us in our history. In our SRP we will therefore continue to invest in people and communities. This year we will contribute $ 42.6 million to Arts and Culture and spend an amount of $ 66.6 million towards education.
2. Disaster recovery. In the area of disaster recovery a total of $500 million will be used in disaster recovery program. We intend to have a total of 125000 total human hours spent by 4000 people towards training of this. The two aspects combined of human hours in training and investment on equipment will put as on the edge of preparedness towards disaster recovery.
3. Workforce. In the indicator of workforce we shall look at employee healthcare coverage. The retention rate of female employees and amounts directly invested in the training and development of employees.
4. Technology. In this area of technology, the company will continuously foster all efforts of science technology see all systems go towards and improvement. We should see all systems go towards development of wireless technologies while still bettering our wired networks where possible and maintaining them
