Proposal Overview

On behalf of the CIO of Techsperts Incorporated, Team A has prepared a Proposal to present to the Executive Management team of Plainview Energy Concern. In this proposal, Team A will review the current systems at Plainview, offer recommendations based on the needs of the company, and align those needs with the latest in emerging technology. The proposal will include any hardware and software needed and potential cost associated with the proposed changes. In completing the proposal, the CIO of Techsperts and Team A will take into consideration the concerns of the Plainview Executive Management which include, but are not limited to: 1). Lack of preparation due to increased product demand 2). System capacity due to growth 3). and Infrastructure limitations. In looking at the proposal for Plainview, Team A realizes that a plan is only as good as the execution. Team A will ensure that the efforts and timeline toward implementation of the recommended technology is cost effective, seamless, and has minimal impact to the operation. In addition, the successful implementation should afford Plainview the realization of efficiencies gained and increased productivity.

Current State of Technology and Business Practices at Plainview Energy Concern

Plainview Energy current business practices and systems are not being used effectively.

Plainview Energy is not communicating well with its employees internally or with the external

employees and staff members who assist with maintenance and security from offsite locations.

The present communication process definitely needs to be changed. Team A suggests that the company change from its use of regular phone lines to a high-speed TI line where data will only go through one pipeline. The T1 lines can transmit data at a rate of 1.544
