McBride Financial is a financial company that offers loans and mortgages to the public. Their motto according to their website is “McBride Financial Services will be the preeminent provider of low cost mortgage services using state-of-the-art technology in the five state area of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota.” Since it can be such a stressful process they offer alternatives means to applying for a loan other than the traditional method on applying in person. They offer a online application which will help take the stress away from some individuals. The goal is to offer efficient and seamless support at a low price of 1500 dollars. In doing this both in person and online brings a few security concerns.

McBride financial will be protecting people’s personal information that makes the protection of the information a vital concern for the business. Identity theft is becoming more common and hurting more and more people each day. The physical location will have some security risks such as people trying to walk in a steal the documents or physical computer hardware in order to get the information. There is also a concern for the access to the physical network that the computer hardware and software are on. These are issues that can usually be fixed with physical security on and around the premises.

The applications that are filled out online will not be protected with the same security. This is where technology will need to be set in place in order to help with the issue. As mentioned above the protection of customer’s identity’s is at the utmost importance. When trying to protect information online you have to deal with hackers, spyware, viruses, malware, and people just trying to cause trouble. As well you have the aspect of the customer applying that might have security risks with their personal computer.
