The interrelationship between television and film is almost about the same, there are various forms of visual media. American culture and values have shaped the entertainment world in different ways. There are some many different types of media that we have forgotten what is important. For example, we will use the internet before we will pick up a book or use are cell phones when looking up information. I remember when all we had was books and yellow pages to find information this new media has made us very lazy, to where all we have to do is push a button, not that I am saying it is wrong but for most people it is easier to use a electronic device, what happen to the book information. Our children have come so addictive to video games and sitting in front of the computer. I remember when we came home from school before we could even think about going outside or watching television we had to do our chores, because our parents didn’t want us sitting in front of the television.
The social influences of visual entertainment has is pros and cons, we can go on Youtube for an example most of the time we will find nothing of substance on that site it is all negativity, unless you are listening to music. Never can you go on that site and find nothing educational for children, and that shouldn’t be our children education is the number one importance. Most of the stuff on the site is negative or bad news or something that is violent happening to someone, that people took and made a joke about it. It would be nice to go on there and find that they have awareness for teens.
Certain sites should not be easy for our children to get to if they are a certain age, because some things they see they will act out, even videos games have a lot of violence that should not be offered to young children, but I say when it comes to young children that don’t know no better it comes to the fault of the parents, especially when they can’t make a sound decision.
