The mid-twentieth century brought about a social change. A counter culture challenged conventions and a determined youth worked to make the world a better place. There was a big push among the younger generation to protest abortion and overtime the subject of abortion-developed traction. The public wanted resolution and the media was all too happy to capitalize on this issue. Beginning with the case of Roe V. Wade came the chance to bring about change: to bring the fighting to an end. When the ruling came down, it was to the joy of millions. The court sought to protect a woman’s ability to seek abortion, and so the case provided a new mandate for the Country. The decision added a breath of fresh air to the controversy. It did not, however, put an end to the conflict. Now, four decades later, society finds itself gripped with the story like prior. "Simple morality dictates that unless and until someone can prove the unborn human is not alive, we must give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it is (alive). And, thus, it should be entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" (Ronald Reagan 1982). Following the argument that a woman has a right to control her body, it is said that the pro-life community opposes the rights of woman, According to the poll conducted by a reputable surveyist organization, “41% of Americans now identify themselves as pro-choice”(Gallup Poll). The claim is at times levied that those against the use of abortion, are truly against woman. This leaves opponents of abortion open to accusations of hatred and zealotry. Accusing women of being zealots against the rights of women is ill advised and
