Syrian Refugees Persuasive Essay
There has/HAVE been many controversies on refugees from other countries. The idea of terrorism has petrified many of the people of the United States making it very hard for anyone to get into our country. Many people want to flee to America, due to the rights of every person being protected under law. Some of these people include the refugees from other countries who have been affected by war, religion, sexism, and other unrighteous behaviors. Many men, women, and children have been highly affected by the war since 2011. Through the war, these refugees have had to deal with being in the middle of the war zone, different levels of emotional, physical, and sexually abuse, kids have had to drop out of school, and many other damaging effects. The United States should provide more areas of protection for these people along with education, therapy, care packages, food and water, medical, and all of the other means for survival. In another poll, made by Bloomberg/Selzer, fifty-three percent of Americans wanted to deny the entry of Syrian refugees, while only a mere 28 percent said that the United States should allow these refugees in without a religious screening process. Eleven percent stated that they felt that only the Christian Syrian refugees should be allowed to enter the United States. In the Bill of Rights, it solidifies the right to religion, no matter what religion it is, therefore this should not affect the people who want to come into America.
Being in a first-world country we tend to take for granted the resources that we have, not realizing how lucky we are. We have clean water, a high food supply, shelters, available medical care, and many other advantages. These Syrian refugees are not so fortunate. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, since the beginning of the Syrian Civil War, which started in 2011, as many as 386,000
