Executive Summary
Income Gender Inequality is a sensitive issue that has stirred discussions globally. It is caused by a number of factors and in turn has some consequences in the society. This report focuses on the factors contributing to income gender inequality and the consequences they present. It establishes that the main contributing factors to income gender inequality include career breaks, gender discrimination, women skills under-valuation, and industrial and occupational segregation among others. Subsequently is establishes that the major consequences of income gender inequality include productivity and economic growth, participation and population among others. The paper recommends that to rid organizations of income gender inequality they should:
- Understand the issues that gender pay gap presents
- Conduct extensive evaluations on gender wage gap
- Examine their Human Resource Procedures and Policies accordingly
- Improve Accountability in their organizations in relation to income gender inequality
