HEALTH PROBLEMS

(dentist)

Health is something a person can’t live without. Health is something you get from your parents. Health is something you can’t buy. Health is one of the most important conditions which are required for the lucky life. We usually wish our dearest people to be healthy and good health is something we need most of all nowadays.

Nobody will disapprove these statements. Everybody understands the importance of health nowadays. But unfortunately sometimes one can start thinking about his health only after loosing it. It’s sad. In additional to this it must  be reminded that our health service system isn’t perfect. So it can’t give us the lost health back. I can’t but say of course about annual check-ups, visiting the dentist twice a year, different injections for children at school and all these are free at state polyclinics. It shows that in some way our state takes care of us all. But following the modern tendencies, our economy, more and more private clinics are appearing where health care is not free. So we have to pay for it and in my opinion it is not very bad. If we pay for our treating we are supposed to have a good one. Paying for the curious also can make us take a better care of our health. Personally I can confirm this opinion. The brightest example is last visit to the doctor.

I can’t say that my health is poor, but my teeth are rather weak, that’s why they require a special treatment. As all people in the world I was awfully afraid of dentists. All these different drills, pipes, syringes with painkillers, a comfortable armchair in which you have to spend not the happiest minutes of your life. Sometimes you can meet a heartless dentist who is always busy not with your mouth but with an exciting talk with the nurses. So, that cabinet brought me a kind of a phobia. It’s clear I hope why I delayed my visit to the dentist so many times.

One day I woke up with an awful toothache. I couldn’t stay that unbearable pain. There was no way out and my mother sent me to the dental polyclinics. It was a private one. After opening the door with surprise I heard lovely and cheerful music. It gave a slight hope for a day off there. But the hope failed as a nurse in a snow-white shirt asked me to wait a bit. The dentist herself surprised me more: she had a pleasant smile, she talked only with me and only about my deals and pains, teeth, pastes, dental floss, gums and so on. I’ve learnt much useful things about teeth care. The process of drilling wasn’t very long and painful due to the doctor being so careful! This visit wasn’t the last because I had a lot of teeth to be filled and nerves to be extracted. But frankly speaking, I am glad now in spite of the fact that I’ve paid a lot money for the treatment. In fact the service itself was so good and brought me much pleasure, really, I got a lot of useful information and now try to take care of my teeth as well as possible.
