This case study talks about a employee named as chris smith, who has just got promoted to executive assistance to the CEO of Faith Community Hospital and who is about to get his bachelor degree. When he comes for his first day as an executive assistant, his boss call for him and addressed a situation and gives his first assignment as an executive assistant to critically think on the issue and solve it.
Introduction
This care study is about the management chaos at a hospital where there are decision clash between different departments which creates havoc for a patient who is admitted at the intensive care unit of that hospital. his name is Andrew who is 68 years old whose only living relative is his 29 years old daughter who is mentally challenged.
There is a cold war in between the primary provider and the unit medical director.
Who keeps quashing each others orders and the nurses and the patient Andrew were harassed. As the nurses were accused multiple times for errors in the treatment of Andrew as the result of the mismatch orders by the doctors, this makes the nurse manager to call for the ethics committee and settle the ongoing confusion.
The primary provider peruses that Andrew should be led to continue on his life support system whereas the consulting neurologist and the unit medical director disagrees.
