In my life I have broken some barriers here and there. But the one that I broke that matters to me was being bullied by not only kids, but adults as well. I go to an elementary called Avalon Gardens. I am in the sixth grade, and kids at my school in grades fourth thru fifth like to spread nasty rumors about me. My mom taught me to ignore what people say about me. But even though I try, the things they say still hurts my feelings. Two weeks ago, a group of fifth graders spread a rumor about me say that I was a man who transformed into a woman. I tried my best to ignore what they said but it still hurts my feelings.
There’s this T.A. named Mr. Avila. He treats me different from all the other kids in school. On March 10, my class and I class were playing kickball. One of my class mates picked me to be on their team, but the person who picked me I did not really like as a classmate or pier. I told Mr. Avila that I was not going to play today but I’ll play tomorrow. But instead of playing tomorrow he told me I couldn’t play for that whole week. I got really upset, stormed off mad, and started to cry to myself. Later on that day a friend of mine told him that he made me cry. Mr. Avila called me over to him and I build up as much courage as I could to tell him how I felt inside. He told me that he understands, and let me play a position outfield for now on. During this moment I learned that I can always build up courage if I need some every once in a while.
