Preparing for my first job interview was very difficult. I had to be well organized and I only had a week to go. The day I got the phone call from PLUS Expressways Berhad, I was surprised. They told me that I had to come to an interview on Monday at 9.00 a.m. So I agreed as it has no problem with my schedule and begin to prepare for the interview.

First I begin to review every bit of information about the organization and the job being offered to me. Then I went over everything to enable me to talk and answer question with ease about the company and myself in order to grab the given offer. After that I prepared a brief resume showing my work experience, qualifications and highlight my accomplishment I have held in the past years. Then I began check my resume carefully for any misspellings and grammar mistakes as I must be sure it was formatted correctly and easy to understand. After that I prepared questions to be asked during the interview session. This is so that I can determine through the questioning, whether the company will give me the benefit for the growth and development that I am looking forward to. After done preparing for the resume, I began rehearsing with my siblings so I am able to convey all the pertinent information about myself in required time.

Secondly, I began looking for suitable formal clothes like business suit to wear for the interview. Its was quite difficult for me as my clothes mostly were not formal wearing. So I had to try on, to see does it suit and look appropriate. After coming across with the suitable one, I ironed them and hanged it up and it was ready to put on for the interview.

Finally on the day, I was so anxious. I got up early, packed my bag, set up my papers and put them into a folder. I make sure I ate breakfast and drank tea. Time was getting near, so I went cleaned up myself and get ready to leave the house for the interview. Then I head out with confident, telling myself I would do well at the interview.
